On Tuesday 12th June 2012, a host of celebrities from sport, stage & screen joined keen golfers from Oracle at Wentworth to take part in the Shooting Star CHASE Golf, supported by Philip Glenister, Len Goodman, Anton Du Beke, Rob Brydon, Tony Hadley, Lee Mack and ex international cricketer Mark Butcher. All golfers were looking great on the course kitted out in IJP Design technical tour Raglan shirts.
The day started with a chance for the teams to meet their celebrities, all golfers
received their IJP Design technical tour Raglan shirts in Navy or Jet Black, which had been embroidered with both the Shooting Star CHASE logo and IJP Design’s logo.
During the day, teams also got the chance to take part in a blindfold putting competition as well as playing a full round of 18 holes on the prestigious Edinburgh course. After a fantastic day guests enjoyed a drinks reception, followed by dinner and entertainment from the Pub Landlord himself – Al Murray, as well as the opportunity to bid for some fantastic auction prizes including a four ball at Woburn where Ian’s Poulter is touring pro and four IJP Deisgn golf bags.
Shooting Star CHASE is a children’s hospice charity caring for over 600 families living in western London, Surrey and West Sussex. They aim to make every day count for children and teenagers with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Their services are available 365 days a year, and families receive support free of charge, in their own homes and communities and at the two children’s hospices. Shooting Star CHASE needs to find £23,000 a day to provide all these vital services, which is why events like this are so important.
The event was also sponsored by Concentric Solutions, iBid and The Criterion.
